MIAMI—YourVids has launched YourFans, a monthly subscription product built around creator customization, “with creators keeping 100 percent of every tier price.”
“Like everything else on YourVids, fees are paid by the user at checkout, not taken out of creator earnings. The listed tier price is what the creator earns, every month, for every member,” a YourVids rep said.
YourFans is “designed to look and feel like the creator, not like the platform. Creators build their own tiers, name them whatever they want, choose what their members are called, and decide exactly what unlocks at each level.”
Members-only videos, early access, free photosets, private posts, free messaging, a members-only channel, member promo codes and a badge that follows users across the site are all switched on tier-by-tier, by the creator, in whatever combination fits their page.
Launching alongside YourFans is Custom GIF packs, which lets eligible, verified creators upload their own GIFs and give members a personalized set to use in Messenger, chat rooms, wall posts and community.
"Subscriptions have been sold to creators as one shape that everybody has to squeeze into," said Gino, co-founder of YourVids. "We are not building another version of that. YourFans lets a creator decide what a membership means on their page, what their fans are called, what unlocks at each level and what the whole thing feels like to belong to."
Gino added that personalization is the point of the product rather than a feature layered on top of it, noting, "A fan who subscribes is not buying a file, they are buying a relationship with one specific creator. So the experience should look and sound like that creator, right down to the badge next to a fan's name and the GIFs they get to use. And the creator keeps 100 percent of it, because recurring income only changes a creator's life if they actually get to keep it."
Creators can set up tiers now in the “Headquarters” tab under Subscriptions. Users can join from the YourFans strip on any creator's profile, or from a locked video or members-only post.
