LOS ANGELES—Allie Darlin’s smile will hit you from across a crowded room. Her warmth radiates from her large eyes, and before she even gets close, you can see she wants to be friends. When I started both of my recorders (one for backup) before I began the interview, she tossed her long red hair and smiled.
“I love a prepared woman,” she laughed.
Allie is not new to the industry, just new to being in larger studio films. “I did domme work for 10 years. Then COVID happened. Then the craziness of the internet happened,” she says. Before then, she called herself a Surgical Dom.
“My job title was a medical assistant. I did that for nine years. But by the time I was done, I was working at a urology prostate bladder cancer treatment center,” she explains. “I assisted my doctor in his clinics and did more surgical stuff towards the end. I did prostate biopsies and bladder cancer treatment,” then she laughs. “That's hot. So, so hot. You need a catheter change? I got you.”
She works independently and currently has no agent. She says, “My camming is the best because I get to do whatever I want in my room.” However, for the past two years, she has been making the shift to studio features. “Camming is an extra now, and everything else is building a name and a career,” she nods.
Allie’s move from nursing to dominatrix made logical sense to her. “I've done a lot of things sexually without a camera, so I might as well film it,” she says.
Before COVID, she was working on a nurse practitioner career. “I was on my third degree out of five,” she explains. “However, COVID broke me a little bit. I was a very grumpy, unhappy person. Working in a pandemic became very stressful,” she says, her face becoming serious. “It made me really think about my mindset.” Then her eyes brighten again, “I love my job now. I can literally do whatever I want. I get the craziest, most unique requests, but I'm just like, you know what, I love it.”
Her past medical training comes in very handy in her new line of work. “I do a lot of ball-busting sessions, mostly because I know how to take care of them after.”
Then she tells me her most recent request that made her day. “I just had a man the other night, paid fifty dollars to video chat. He was wearing pink underwear,” she smiles. “He picked the song, and he danced for me, and I cheered him on, and it was a great time. I brought happiness to someone in a way that I love.”
“Being a domme is very psychological. It's just knowing other people's psyche,” she says. “They’re scared to go out in the world and be that person. But here I am, like, you're you. I’ve become a safe space to have a good time with it.”
