LOS ANGELES—Pineapple Support, an adult industry mental health nonprofit, is set to host a new free, online support group for those “whose sense of intimacy and connection has been affected by trauma.”
The six-week "Reclaiming Intimacy: Sex After Trauma" support group will be led by Pineapple Support therapist Nicki Line and will begin on Sunday, October 4, at 3 p.m. PT.
"Trauma can profoundly change our relationship with our bodies, our sexuality, and our capacity for intimate connection, but healing is possible," Line said. "Whether someone is navigating the aftermath of sexual trauma, relationship abuse, medical trauma or other experiences that have affected their sexual wellbeing, this group offers a safe, understanding space to explore that healing at their own pace and begin reclaiming a healthy relationship with intimacy."
Founded in 2018 by British performer Leya Tanit following a series of tragic losses in the adult industry, Pineapple Support is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that has connected more than 20,000 adult industry professionals with free and low-cost therapy, counseling and emotional support.
"For people in our industry, intimacy can be both part of our work and something deeply personal, and when trauma enters the picture, that relationship can feel complicated or out of reach," said Tanit. "This group is about creating a space free from judgment and stigma, where people can be heard, feel less alone, and take meaningful steps toward healing alongside others who understand."
The “Reclaiming Intimacy” support group will begin on Sunday, October 4, at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET/12 p.m. CET, and will run for six weeks with each session lasting 60 minutes. For more information and to reserve a spot, visit PineappleSupport.com.
