NEW YORK—Multi-award nominated director and performer Bakari today released an extended trailer for Transsexual Horror Stories on X and Instagram. The trailer is also available on award-winning producer and star Blake Lovely’s X and Instagram pages.
“Transsexual Horror Stories has four stories: A lonely trans woman chasing love in Los Angeles learns the truth about the men who want her. An ambitious analyst signs a deal with three seductive demons and gets more than he asked for. A content creator spends the night with the fan and discovers his hidden secrets. And an escort waits in terror for a killer on the loose, until a dark truth is revealed that changes everything,” a description reads.
“I wanted to tell stories that were based on the real experience of trans women in the world and make it authentic while also being sexy and fun at the same time,” Bakari said. “Everything in this movie has a little truth to it which I think is what makes it all the scarier.”
The cast of Transsexual Horror Stories features star performers Amy Nosferatu, Bobbii Rose, Viviana Rose, Esme Rogue, Naomi Whistledown, Brock Swole, Silas Stone, Jake With, Bakari, Papi Malo and performer-producer Lovely.
“Getting to be a part of this Grooby feature is everything to me,” offered Lovely. “Transsexual Horror Stories was a concept partly inspired by the TV series American Horror Story and based on what we, as trans women, experience in real life. For example, in the opening scene, ‘Chasers,’ the entire narrative revolves around the nightmarish hellscape that is the modern dating world for young trans women constantly being fetishized.”
“Blake Lovely has been a huge part of this project from the beginning, helping me coordinate with talent and offering her own experience making a film last year,” Bakari added. “We couldn’t have done it without her help.”
“Having had so many personal experiences in my day-to-day life it was an exciting role to bring to life on screen,” Lovely said. “Bakari, who was the director and brains behind this project, is incredibly talented and brings a unique vision. I think people are really going to enjoy this film, and the October 22 release can’t come fast enough.”
Transsexual Horror Stories is slated for release on October 22 on Grooby.com. For more updates, follow Grooby on X and Instagram.
