LOS ANGELES—The ongoing criminal prosecution against OnlyFans creator Mia Ventura has a new chapter: she is being investigated for potentially drugging her ex-fiancée, billionaire timeshare magnate and former California gubernatorial candidate Stephen Cloobeck, 64, according to local reports.
The Los Angeles Times reported that the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) requested a search warrant in August 2026 in order to go through Ventura's mobile phone.
The police note that a Beverly Hills Police Department (BHPD) detective saw Ventura over the summer at the French Mediterranean fusion restaurant Azur without her court-required ankle monitor while out on bail. As AVN reported, she was later arrested and denied bail for violating her release conditions and is now incarcerated pending trial.
Andrea Marsh, a detective for the Los Angeles Police Department, wrote in the August warrant affidavit, "[BHPD Detective Steve Own] was familiar with [Ventura] because he himself had been investigating whether [Ventura] was drugging her fiancé Steve Cloobeck with ketamine." The allegation was neither confirmed nor denied by Ventura's defense attorney.
According to reporting by the Times, Marsh indicated that Cloobeck previously filed a report with BHPD. The warrant affidavit doesn't reveal the circumstances behind the report, nor is there a clear indication as to what prompted the drugging allegation. Cloobeck faces his own legal troubles tied to his previous relationship with Ventura.
He was charged with felony witness tampering with the intent of swaying Ventura's case in Los Angeles County. As AVN reported, Ventura, 29, faces trial in Los Angeles County on two counts of grand theft and two counts of first-degree residential burglary. Though she has pleaded not guilty, Ventura faces at least 11 years in prison if found guilty.
This past summer, Ventura was additionally arrested on a felony warrant for theft, which was filed by the Indio Police Department, in a high-value robbery case that took place at an Airbnb within Indio city limits. The crime occurred during the 2025 run of the Coachella music festival.
In September, Ventura's mental competency was called into question by her defense attorney. Ventura was seen in a courtroom in late August, dressed in a blue jail jumpsuit, crying, limping and blurting seemingly absurd statements during a hearing. Cloobeck announced over the summer that he called off his wedding to Ventura.
Ventura, who has touted herself as the "first" top OnlyFans model of Israeli origin, was featured as the July 2023 Penthouse Pet of the Month.
