Adult film star Drake Von, known legally as Dawson Bacon, has had all criminal charges related to domestic battery accusations dismissed. AVN confirmed the dismissal of felony charges of suspicion of domestic battery by strangulation and coercion constituting domestic violence with threat or use of physical force.
The 23-year-old GayVN Award winner faced a series of criminal charges stemming from an incident in Las Vegas on June 2. The accusations involved a physical altercation with his girlfriend, during which he allegedly grabbed her by the throat and "slammed her on the ground." The alleged victim claimed Von strangled her "by applying pressure to her throat restricting her breathing" until she "could not breathe and she felt like she passed out," according to a police report obtained by Out.
The incident led to Von's arrest on charges including misdemeanor battery, first-degree domestic battery, domestic battery by strangulation, and felony coercion constituting domestic violence with threat or use of physical force. However, Las Vegas Justice Court records verified by Out indicate that all charges against Von have now been dropped.
Following the news, Von posted a video on October 15, showing him dancing in a suit and lip-syncing the lyrics "I just beat the case."
The unnamed alleged domestic violence victim provided a taped interview to Detective D. Groberski, stating that a verbal argument with Von escalated into violence. The argument reportedly began after she threw her Louis Vuitton "promise ring" out of a car window. She claimed the disagreement continued after they returned home. When she attempted to call a friend for a ride, Von allegedly took her cell phone and refused to return it. She further claimed Von ordered her to "get onto her knees and apologize to him."
The situation led to the SWAT team being called to Von’s apartment. This occurred because an empty magazine from a firearm was observed on his coffee table when police entered his residence to arrest him. Von, who has a previous arrest for domestic battery, declined to speak with police and requested his attorney.
