SAN FRANCISCO—Falcon | NakedSword today announced the wrap of production on Before We Met, an erotic thriller of obsession in which a seemingly chance encounter spirals into dangerous fixation.
Directed by multi-award-winning filmmaking team Alter Sin and Ben Rush from a screenplay by Rush, the film is headlined by Falcon | NakedSword exclusive John Jai. Before We Met was shot entirely on location in northeastern Spain and is set to release this winter, exclusively on NakedSword.com.
After a chance meeting ignites a passionate affair, Derek Kage discovers that his charming new lover, John Jai, has no intention of letting him go. As desire plunges into obsession and seduction turns into stalking and manipulation, Derek finds himself trapped in a dangerous relationship where the very attraction that drew him and John together may be impossible to escape.
"Before We Met is exactly the kind of bold storytelling that NakedSword Originals wants to be known for,” said Falcon | NakedSword President and CEO Tim Valenti. “It’s sexy with a dark and suspenseful undercurrent that tightens its grip as the story unfolds. I’m excited about what Ben Rush, Alter Sin, and the entire cast have created.”
“That tension between wanting someone and being afraid of what they might do is at the center of the film,” said Ben Rush, co-director, screenwriter, and Falcon | NakedSword’s Co-Chief Content Officer. “I think Before We Met captures something very intimate but also unsettling, and the cast was fearless in delivering on both.”
“We wanted the movie to feel insanely erotic but also have a simmering unease throughout,” said co-director Alter Sin. “The idea is that the audience should be drawn into the same seductive trap as the main characters.”
