SAN FRANCISCO — NakedSword has wrapped production on its latest thriller, "Before We Met," directed by Alter Sin and Ben Rush.
The feature, shot on location in Spain, stars reigning and three-time XMAs Gay Performer of the Year Derek Kage, alongside John Jai.
"After a chance meeting ignites a passionate affair, Derek Kage discovers that his charming new lover, John Jai, has no intention of letting him go," the synopsis reveals. "As desire plunges into obsession and seduction turns into stalking and manipulation, Derek finds himself trapped in a dangerous relationship where the very attraction that drew him and John together may be impossible to escape."
Rush enthused about the title.
"That tension between wanting someone and being afraid of what they might do is at the center of the film," he said. "I think 'Before We Met' captures something very intimate but also unsettling, and the cast was fearless in delivering on both."
Added Sin, "We wanted the movie to feel insanely erotic but also have a simmering unease throughout. The idea is that the audience should be drawn into the same seductive trap as the main characters."
"Before We Met" will premiere in December on NakedSword.
